A featherweight bout between Houston’s Daniel Pineda and Emmanuel Sanchez has been added to Bellator 149 in Houston.
Bellator officials confirmed the bout with the Houston Chronicle on Tuesday.
The event takes place February 19 at the Toyota Center. It is headlined by a pair of big fights: Royce Gracie takes on Ken Shamrock and Kimbo Slice faces Dhafir Harris, better known as the street fighter Dada 5000.
Pineda (21-11), who has lived and trained in the Houston area for much of his fighting career, returns to Bellator for the first time since 2010. He is a veteran of both Legacy Fighting Championship (a local Houston promotion) and the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Sanchez (12-2) trains out of the Roufussport academy in Milwaukee. He is riding a two fight winning streak amassed since a loss to Pat Curran.
Tickets for Bellator 149 are available at the Toyota Center box office, local Randall’s locations and online. They start at $30.
